End of Season Tournament Wrap
Wow, what a busy few weeks it has been, and longer for some, in preparing & organising our groups for their end of season tournaments. A recap of our time at the following tournaments;
⚫️ Pre-Academy Tournaments
Weir Rose Bowl | Cambridge | 26th-28th Sept
Teams attended: U12 Mixed White & Gold, U12 Girls & U13 Mixed
The Weir Rose Bowl tournament provided some quality opposition & experiences for our teams, competing against sides from outside our BOP region. All of our U12 teams impressed in their performances, while our U13 Mixed team finished runners-up for the tournament. Congratulations to everyone involved!
McCartney Tournament | Taupo | 3rd-5th Oct
Teams attended: U9 Mixed, U10 Girls, U10 Mixed, U11 Mixed, U12 Girls, U12 Mixed & U13 Mixed
The McCartney tournament continues to be a mainstay in our calendar & again provided another fantastic way to end our seasons. Our U9 & U10 mixed, and U10 girls, teams are formed through our Skills Hub programme & went from strength to strength as relationships grew. Our older groups put in a number of fantastic performances, scoring plenty of goals in the process. All of our groups should be very proud of their efforts across the 3 days!
**Special shout-out to our U12 Girls who won their age group & our U11 Mixed team who finished runners-up! Top work!
⚫️ Academy Tournaments
Premier Invitational Tournament | Gold Coast, Aus | 30th Sept - 2nd Oct
Teams attended: U14 Boys, U14/15 Girls & U15 Boys
What an incredible experience for our U14 Boys, U15 Boys, and U14/15 Girls squads competing on the Gold Coast! It is the first time we have taken multiple groups overseas & what a time they had. On the pitch, they continuously put their best foot forward against tough oppoosition in hot conditions. Off the pitch, they enjoyed everything the Gold Coast had to offer and formed some lasting relationships with players, clubs & team-mates. We are immensely proud of how they all represented the club!
**Special shout out to our U15 Boys group who went undefeated throughout & took out the tournament, a fantastic effort!
