Cameron Grieve Joins Phoenix

19 Dec

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of Cameron Grieve from FC Tauranga Moana at the end of 2025.

Cameron has been an instrumental part of our Academy from day one, and prior to this was a key member of the Tauranga City Academy and captain of the Tauranga City First Team. With our full support, he has accepted a role with the Wellington Phoenix Academy — an exciting step forward as he continues his coaching journey.

Just as we are proud to see our players progress to higher levels, we are equally proud when the hard work and talent of our coaches is recognised by professional organisations. We wish Cameron, Rachel and Finn all the very best as they begin their next chapter in Wellington.

What’s next?
As part of our 2026 planning, Cameron was set to focus on our Pre-Academy space. As this programme begins in March, we have a good window to identify the right candidate(s) who can continue the excellent mahi Cameron has contributed to. We have also been working closely with Cameron over the last couple of months to ensure a smooth transition for his replacement(s) and our new Club Administrator, who we are in the final stages of confirming.
